A little about the KWLFA.
Where it all began.
Somewhere in the 1980's, the KWLFA was started by a group of ladies who wanted to give the women of KW a place to play Fastball. They believed that fastball wasn’t only for men!
Over the years, our league has changed. Teams have come and gone. Faces have changed, but the game is still the same. Some women have opted to play slo pitch instead, but we are hoping that the interest in fastball will stay strong.
Where we are now.
Our league has previously seen as many as 12 teams competing for the KWLFA championship. We are now a six team league, recovering to that level after the COVID pandemic.
Our season runs from mid-May to August. Each team will play 1-2x/week with all games falling Monday-Thursday evenings at either 7 or 8:45pm
We play at Rosenberg and Budd Park.
